With the aim of distributing drinking water to local people in 11 villages in Meiktila District, water supply projects will be implemented during 2023-2024 FY, according to District Department of Rural Development. 

The projects including digging tub wells, construction of brick lake, digging earthen lake and installation of solar panels will be conducted with funds of Union in 11 villages in Meiktila, Mahlaing, Wundwin and Thazi Townships in Meiktila District. 

A total of digging nine tube wells, construction of six brick lakes capable of storing 5000 gallons of water, digging two earthen lakes and installation of solar panels will be conducted by tender winning companies, according to an official.
