ASEANSAI holds 5th Executive Committee Meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

THE 5th Executive Committee Meeting of the Association of Auditors-General of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEANSAI) was held by the Office of the Union Auditor-General in a virtual format yesterday.

 

The meeting was attended by the Myanmar delegation led by Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo from the Office of the Union Auditor-General in Nay Pyi Taw, delegations led by ASEANSAI Vice-Chair Auditor-General of the Philippines Mr Gamaliel A Cordoba, Secretary-General of ASEANSAI Mr Bahtiar Arif and the delegation from the Office of the Auditor-General of Thailand.

 

Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo delivered an opening speech and explained the preparation of the ASEANSAI’s 7th high-ranking officials’ meeting as the host country.

 

Furthermore, the auditor-general of the Philippines informed that the Office of the Auditor-General of the Philippines is preparing to host the ASEANSAI’s 7th Summit. ASEANSAI Secretary-General discussed and presented issues of ASEANSAI’s financial statements, the extension of the Secretary-General’s term of office and a brief account of Timor Leste, which will become a new ASEAN member state.

 

Next, the Union auditor-general clarified future programmes before giving a closing speech.
