Opening ceremony of a rural road to mark the 78th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day which falls on 27 March was held at the entrance of the road in Koe Inn Village in the town of Betye in Kyangin Townhip, Ayeyarwady Region yesterday morning.

During the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Township Department of Rural Development U Than Zaw Lwin, Chairman of Myanaung District Administration Council U Myo Hlaing, the district Police Chief Police Lt-Col Myint Kyaw and Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Thein Tan cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the road.

The road measuring 1.4 miles in length, 12 ft. in width and three ft. in height was constructed with Ks. 223.1 million of DRD’s funds allocated in 2022-2023 FY, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.

Deputy Director of the Township Department of Rural Development U Than Zaw Lwin, Chairman of Myanaung District Administration Council U Myo Hlaing, the district Police Chief Police Lt-Col Myint Kyaw and Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Thein Tan, members of the Township Women’s Affair Federation and Maternal and Child Welfare Association and local people attended the event. —Township IPRD
