The staff from the Department of Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports conducted a mass immunization campaign against polio, measles and rubella at the ward administrator’s office in Ward-4, Gangaw Township, Magway Region this morning.
The department injected 20 children aged less than one year and 6 month old and one pregnant woman with vaccination against various diseases such as measles and rubella free of charge on on a monthly basis, said Daw Le Le Khaing, a medical staff from the township maternal and child welfare association.
The mass vaccination campaign against measles and rubella for kids under 5 years old is being carried out across the country with the aim of complete elimination of the diseases.
