The meeting of youth artists from six countries in Lancang-Mekong Region will be hosted by the National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) with the aim of increasing mutual friendship and boosting the cooperation between youth artists in the region. The meeting between youth artists will take place at Shwe Pyitha Hotel in Maha Aungmyay Township, Mandalay on 27 to 31 January, according to the National University of Art and Culture (Mandalay).
At the meeting, youth artists from Myanmar, China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Viet Nam will read papers about “Preservation of Traditional culture and arts of Lancang-Mekong Countries”. In addition, drawing pictures, making traditional handicrafts, composing lyrics, practicing entertainment progammes and other programs will be included. Furthermore, arrangements are being made to showcase and sell traditional cultural souvenirs of six countries, said an official from the University.
