Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko received a total of K542.5 million cash donations for religious purposes yesterday.
At the donation ceremony held at the Wizaya Mingalar Dhamma Thabin of Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon, well-wishers donated K345 million for final phase in construction of Eternal Peace pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw, K85 million for all-round renovation of Maha Thanti Thukha Buddhist Missionary Monastery, K57.5 million for cash fund of Pariyatti Examination winners and K55 million for missionary works in border and mountainous areas.
