Union Minister Dr. Pe Myint receives Japanese State Minister for Communications

Dr. Pe Myint, Union Minister for Information, received a Japanese delegation led by State Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Dr. Yukari Sato yesterday at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

During the meeting, they discussed matters related to capacity building assistance being given to the staff of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV), providing various equipment required for production of television programmes, Japan’s cooperation with Myanmar in broadcast and film industry, the successfully establishment of Dream Vision Company in Myanmar in collaboration between Japan’s NHK and Shwe Than Lwin Media Co., Ltd., promotion of Japan-Myanmar cooperation, making documentaries and exchanging content so as to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of two nations.

 

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun and officials, Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Ichiro Maruyama, Director-General Mr. Mabito Yoshida of Global Strategy Bureau, Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and officials.
