US President Donald Trump says he will sign what he calls a "very large and comprehensive Phase One" trade deal with China in Washington on January 15.
Trump tweeted on Tuesday that high-level representatives of China will attend the signing ceremony at the White House.
The president added that he will visit Beijing later to begin talks on phase two. It would be his first visit to China since November 2017.
Washington and Beijing announced in mid-December that they had reached the phase one agreement. Under the deal, China would be required to buy a large quantity of US farm products and better protect intellectual property.
