INCLUDING residents of Yangon and Mandalay, loads of people from other regions and states have made visits to Hpa-an in Kayin State, according to tour organizers.
Visitors spend two nights, and three days in Hpa-an and among visitors, there are families, friends and newlyweds, according to a resident.
“Visitor arrival at Hpa-an usually elevates in monsoon. Even now, families, friend groups and newly-weds have come for summer vacation. Most visitors are from Yangon, Mandalay and Mawlamyine. The visitor arrival hasn’t stopped,” said a resident.
In Hpa-an, there are many famous tourist destinations such as Kyaukkalat Pagoda, Yathepyan Cave, Kawgun Cave, Donyin Waterfall, Phootakhit Village Pagoda, Naunglone Valley and Sadan Cave.
According to tour organizers, visitor arrival to Kalaw, Inlay, Taunggyi, Bagan-NyaungU, Hpa-an, Bago, Yangon and neighbouring Chaungtha and Ngwehsaung beaches is likely to rise during the Thingyan holiday in April.
Hpa-an is a city which is rich in natural sceneries and visitors can explore mountains, paddy fields, lakes and caves. — MT/ZS
