Strong winds hit Okpho Township, Tharrawady District, Bago Region at 9 pm on 8 May.
The strong winds caused house roofs of 124 houses, one religious building, one monastic school and one Basic Education Primary School to flip over. In addition, 16 houses collapsed due to the forceful winds.
Officials from the Township Disaster Management Committee, village administration groups, community leaders, social organizations gave assistance to storm victims for their accommodation and meals. No casualties were reported in the incident. Aung Thu Swe (IPRD)
