A ceremony to furnish cash aids and relief items to storm victims in Yamethin Township was held yesterday.
MPs U Zaw Win and U Aung Myo Oo of regional Hluttaw, Chairman of Township Management Committee and Township Administrator U Zaw Min Han and officials from Mandalay Region Disaster Management Department provided storm victims with relief items and cash aids upon the extent of the damage suffered by the victims.
A total of K 1.39 million and 21 rescue kits that contain 11 kinds of goods were given to 21 households in villages in Yamethin Township.
The forceful winds hit Yamethin Township, Mandalay Region on 23 May and it caused roofs of some housed to flip over.
