Stake driving ceremonies for construction of school facilities held in Kawkareik

A stake driving ceremony for construction of a two-storey facility took place in the compound of No.2 basic education high school in Kawkareik Township, Kayin State yesterday morning.

At the ceremony, Deputy Speaker of Kayin State parliament Daw Nang Thuzar Win, Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Saw B San Thein Myint and Deputy Commissioner U Tin Maung Win drove the stakes at designated places of construction site and sprinkled scented water on it. The reinforced concrete structure will be 130 ft. in length, and 30 ft. in width and will be built by a private construction company with the fund allocated in the fiscal year 2019-2020.

         

Next, the Kayin State parliament deputy speaker and her entourage also attended the similar event in Thayettaw Village in Kyondoe Town. The facility measuring 220 ft. in length and 30 ft. in width will be constructed on a self-reliant basis.—Khin Myo Win (IPRD)
