STATE Administration Council Member Daw Dwe Bu attended the coordination meeting on ethics for legal officers at the Kachin State Advocate-General Office yesterday.
Speaking at the event, she highlighted the need to offer equal access to legal services for all citizens while offering services of the rule of law, which is the government’s law, and to focus on access to offer equal protection under the law.
She continued that the law officers should collaborate in promoting the rule of law and stability in preparation for the successful holding of the election.
She also attended a ceremony to hand over the rescue and relief items for rescue teams held on the lawn in front of the State government office.
At the ceremony, the chief minister, who is also chairman of the Kachin State Natural Disaster Management Committee, reported on the donation, and the SAC member and the chief minister presented 100 temporary tents, 312 tarpaulin rolls, instant noodles and porridge boxes to the rescue team members and social welfare organizations. These items were donated by Baoxian Prefecture of the People’s Republic of China.
They also observed the donated items and cordially met rescue members. — IPRD/KTZH
