Kyaunggon, 12 June
A ceremony to hand over a rural healthcare center to the Department of Health was held in Moemakha Village, Kyaunggon Township in Ayeyawady Region yesterday evening.
The villagers donated a land plot of 100 ft. in length and width for construction of the rural healthcare facility. The Department of Health assigned a midwife and two staffs at the healthcare center built on a self-reliant basis to provide rural people from nine villages with free healthcare service.
The handing over event was attended by the regional lawmakers, township administrator, township medical superintendent, staff from the Department of Health and residents.
