Rice wholesale center opens in Shwebo

Sagaing Regional Chief Minister Dr. Myint Naing attended a rice wholesale center in Shwebo this morning.

The rice wholesale center was formally opened by the regional chief minister and the vice-president of the Myanmar Rice Federation. Speaking on the occasion, the regional chief minister said that people in Sagaing Region mainly are mainly engaged in agriculture and rely on cultivation of paddy, legumes, and other crops. Shwebo Pawsan rice is of high quality that can be exported to foreign for its premier quality, he added.

The rice brokers must disseminate knowledge and provide cash to farmers for better production of high quality paddy whereas they also must attempt to ensure better flow of commodities and penetrate into the market, the regional chief minister highlighted.
