ACCORDING to the pagoda board of trustees, pilgrims from across the country flocked to Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda in Minbu (Sagu) Township, Minbu District, Magway Region, on the full moon day of Taboung.

The full moon day of Taboung is the busiest day of the year during the Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Festival. This year was no exception, as the festival saw large crowds, with pilgrims from all over Myanmar making donations, performing good deeds, feeding monkeys, and bathing in Mann Creek.

“This year, the fullmoon day of Taboung coincided with five public holidays, attracting many pilgrims from across the country. Since the festival began, more than 10,000 visitors have visited the pagoda,” said Chairman U Aye Ko of the Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Trustees. — Maung Maung (Minbu)/ MKKS
