New concrete road opens in Hlaingbwe Tsp

Hlaingbwe, 29 January

           

A new concrete road was opened in Wargoat Taw village, Hlaingbwe township, Kayin state this morning, with sermons preached by the leading monk at the village’s monastery.

 

Then, deputy staff officer U Zin Min Aung of the township Rural Development Department reported on the concrete road construction project. Afterwards, the village administrator acting on behalf of the village people spoke words of thanks. Then, the leading monk, the deputy staff officer and the village administrator cut a ceremonial ribbon to officially open the concrete road.

                       

The concrete road measures 1771 ft in length, 14 ft in wide and six ft in depth. It was built using K 21 million funds of the township RDD under World Bank’s assistance and K 3.5 million contributed by village people. The project started on 29, December 2019 and finished on 1, January, 2020.

 

The new road will bring a great benefit to local people living in War goat Taw, Naw kaw and Thar Yar Gone villages.—Khin San Myint
