Narcotic drugs seized in some Townships

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of Anti-drug Squad searched a MITSUBISHI vehicle driven by Nyein Chan with Zaw Hlaing Oo and Nay Zaw Oo onboard on Laydauntkan Road in Tamwelay Ward, Tamwe Township of Yangon Region at 6:30 pm on February 27 and seized 78000 stimulant tablets in the car.

 

In a similar incident, a combined team comprising members of Anti-drug Squad raided the house of Thet Shwe Oo on Mya Aye Chan Road in Pattamya Ward in Mingaladon Township of Yangon Region at about 3:00 pm on February 28 and seized 20000 stimulant tablets under the pillow in the bed room of the house.

 

In addition, a combined team searched a suspected woman, known as Mah Marlar Win, in Kyaunggyi village tract in the town of Taunggyi, Shan State at about 6:15 pm on the same day, and seized 10000 stimulant pills.

 

The culprits were prosecuted under the country’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to the Myanmar Police Force.—MNA
