BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal  has weakened into a Low Pressure Area .Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and  partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING  OF THE 8th January, 2019: Weather will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Sagaing Region, Kachin  and Kayin  States, fairly widespread in  Chin and Mon  States and widespread in remaining regions and states  with regionally heavy falls in Magway and isolated heavy falls in  Bago ,Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon states. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional Squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States.
