MV Azamara Quest cruise ship visits Myanma

A  passenger  cruise  named  MV Azamara Quest arrived at the Thilawa Multi purpose International Terminal  from Phuket port of Thailand at 8 am yesterday morning. Ministry of Hotels and Tourism Director  U  Naing  Win,  and  officials welcomed the cruise with  the  traditional  dance  performances  of  Myanmar  national  races.  The  voyage  is  organized  by  Myanmar  Voyages International Tourism Co., Ltd with the supervision  of  Ministry  of  Hotels  and  Tourism  and  assisted  by Ministry of Transport and Communications.


The  cruise  sailed  from  Phuket carrying 649 passengers from 26 western countries  onboard  mainly  from  US  and  UK  and  402  vessel  crew. The visitors will make sight-seeings in Yangon and Bago.  They  will  also  visit  Thanlyin by riding bicycles.  The  tours  also  include  Bagan and Inle areas. Azamara Quest  is  the  first  cruise  arrived to Myanmar this open MV Azamara Quest cruise ship visits Myanmarseason and it is the 132nd cruise organized by the local tour company. A total of 15 cruises have arrived  in  Myanmar  this  year.  Azamara Quest will depart for Penang on 7 November.


Cruise  tours  can  help  to  promote  the  image  of  Myanmar by covnveying information about  the existing peaceful and attractive situations of the country to the internation tourists.
