MoSWRR minister discusses recommendations of Advisory Commission on Rakhine State

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye and the Committee for Implementation of the Recommendations on Rakhine State discussed yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw over the recommendations of Advisory Commission on Rakhine State.
Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye, in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee, discussed cooperation work between the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population for citizenship, freedom of movement and IDP issues during the three-year term of the committee and planned to carry out in line with the stipulations of 1982 Citizenship Law.
The Union Minister also highlighted the need to offer rights of citizenship verification for all people living in the country including in Rakhine State in accordance with the provisions of 1982 Myanmar Citizenship Law and duties of relevant departments for the community development, peace and the rule of law.
He then made suggestions about finding solutions for the difficulties in the real situation, planning the processes to complete in time and holding educative talks for all people living in Rakhine State to know their rights in the scope of law. The Union Minister also stressed the efforts in implementing the processes for social harmony and systematic plans for the government to conduct effective processes.
Then, the participants coordinated the meeting and briefed the work plans being carried out in line with the existing law, instructions and procedures and other challenges. —MNA (Translated by Khine Thazin Han)
