Bago Regional Chief Minister U Win Thein attended a monsoon tree planting event which was held in Yedashe Township, Bago Region yesterday.
On the occasion, Regional Chief Minister and departmental personnel planted a total of 220 shady trees in Kyanthanwe Basic Education Middle School and along the rural road of Sattit and Kyanthanwe villages and the officials also provided hand gel and masks to the teachers in the village.
Officials from Yedashe Township Forest Department have planted 75,000 saplings at the nursery of the department for monsoon tree planting festival. Then, a total of over 30,000 saplings have been distributed to wards and villages in the township starting from last week of May and other remaining saplings will be contributed to the villages free of charge.
