Deputy Minister for Education Dr Zaw Myint yesterday attended the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Ensuring Equal Access to Quality Early Childhood Development and Care, being held in Lao People’s Democratic Republic under the theme of Building Climate Resilience from the Start: Early Childhood Education for Sustainable Future.
During the meeting, the deputy minister talked about the vital role of physical and mental development of children today in addition to the education and social status, the need to train the children since their childhood to withstand and overcome while the world is facing natural disasters more and more, holding of Education Conference in Myanmar in 2023, establishing of school-based kindergarten and the environmental education to the children depending on their age groups.
Then, the attendees approved the Vientiane declaration on ensuring equal access to equality early childhood development and care in the ASEAN community. — MNA/ KTZH
