MINGALAR Co. Ltd announced yesterday it will open a luxury multiplex on the 5th floor of the Kabaraye Executive Residence Shopping Mall on Kabaraye Pa-goda Road, Mayangon Town-ship, Yangon, on 9 May.The cinema will become the 131st one and 151st screen of the country.
The Mingalar Cinemas Gold Class will have three au-ditoriums. Cinema 1 would ac-commodate 60 people, Cinema 2 would seat 29 people, while Cinema 3 would have a seating capacity of 33. They will have high-end and modern single and couple seats.
“This will be the 27th cine-plex opened by the Mingalar Company and the 48th screen launched,” said U Myat Khine Soe of Mingalar Co. Ltd at a media event held at the shop-ping mall yesterday. U Ye Na ing, the Director-General of the Information and Public Rela-tions Department, members of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, and journalists attended the event. They also viewed sample 3D movies in Cinema 1. The Ministry of In-formation works ceaselessly to promote the film industry in Myanmar.
