MEEA to organize tourism expo in Yangon

The Myanmar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association (MEEA) will be organizing a tourism expo in Yangon with a view to exhibiting traditional culture of the ethnic people and promoting tourism industry.

The tourism expo titled, “Toward the festival for national races” will be staged at Kyaikkasan Grounds in Yangon from 25 to 30 January, according to the press conference on organizing the event held at the meeting room of the regional government office at 1 p.m. yesterday.


The main purpose of the fair is to show unity, solidarity and friendship among all ethnic people in Myanmar, help ensure peace-making process in accordance with the people’s desire, showcase customs of ethnic people and interesting places in Myanmar and boost tourism industry, said Yangon Regional Minister for Rakhine Ethnic Affairs U Zaw Aye Maung.  


Members of the committee for organizing the exposition also gave a detailed explanation about the event and officials replied to queries raised by media.
