Myeik, 13 January
A collective garbage clearance campaign was carried out in Kyaukphyar Village, Myeik Township in Taninthayi Region this morning.
The activity started near a rural bridge with the participation of the township-level authorities, medical staff, policemen, firefighters and members of a local social organization. Participants cut the bushes, collected trash and cleared blocked drainage systems for a better and more efficient flow of water.
Taninthayi Regional Minister for Planning and Finance U Phyo Win Tun, Township Administrator U Win Thu Aung, and local people were also involved in the mass beautification activity.—Khaing Htoo (IPRD)
