The final match of the inter-district U-19 women’s football competition was held in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony in Magway yesterday evening.
In the final game of the contest, the team representing Magway District beat the squad representing Thayet District and was crowned the champion trophy. Regional Minister for Social Welfare Dr. Khin Maung Aye and wife Daw Aye Aye Win presented individual awards and champion trophy to prize winning teams and players.
The football event named “Magway Region Chief Minister’s Cup” was held from 17 to 23 October with five participating teams.
