MADB begin payment of monsoon agricultural loans to farmers in Ngaphe Tsp.

The Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank branch began disbursement of monsoon agricultural loans to farmers in Ngaphe Township, Magway Region on 6 May.

Each farmer must present the original land use certificate (Form-7) to the Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank as deposit, said Daw Khin Than Htwe, Manager of the township MADB’s branch. The MADB will dispense Ks. 150,000 for per acre of paddy and Ks. 100,000 for per acre of other crops, she added. Farmers in Ngaphe Township will cultivate paddy, sesame, groundnuts and green grams as monsoon crops.

The MADB gave out more than Ks.9 million for 66 acres of farmlands to 28 farmers from Kyaunggon village-tract. Ks. 1547.2 million has been earmarked for disbursing monsoon agricultural loans to farmers from 23 village-tracts.—Ma Yu (IPRD)
