Illegal sawn Padauk timbers seized in Mese Township

Mese, 6 January

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprising personnel from the Township Forest Department and Police member from Mesenam Police Outpost combed the forest located at east of Thanlwin River about 8 miles from Mesenam Village in Mese Township and seized unattended illegal Padauk timber log weighing 2.16 tons and 96 sawn Padauk timbers weighing 0.37 tons in the forest.

The seized timbers were handed over to authorities in the township, according to the township Forest Department.—Wat Yee, IPRD
