DEPUTY Prime Minister, Union Minister for Transport and Com­munications General Mya Tun Oo, who is also the Chairman of the Government-Private Trade Promotion Council, attended the second meeting of the coun­cil yesterday.

 

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Prime Minister said that although there were impacts after the recent earthquake, the council held the meeting as per the scheme of once every four months to facilitate the trading sector. The work processes for the National Export Strategy 2020-2025 are nearly finalized, and efforts should be made to implement the National Export Strategy 2026-2030. The gov­ernment-private organizations should together draft the Plan of Action (PoA) for the National Export Strategy 2026-2030.

 

He then mentioned the sig­nificant achievement of Open General Licence (OGL) be­tween the Indian government and the council before March 2025 regarding with export of black gram.

 

He continued that the Un­ion-level MSME Product Exhi­bition and Competition was held in February 2025, and promis­ing products from regions and states were selected as One Region One Product, and also awarded to the entrepreneurs. He stated the benefits of the exhibition for the entrepreneurs and pledged to provide the re­quired assistance.

 

Deputy Prime Minister, Un­ion Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, who is also the Council Vice-Chair, re­marked, and Council Secretary Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn explained the imple­mentation after the first meet­ing of the council.
