As part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus, firefighters from a local fire brigade sprayed disinfectant in some government offices such as the Department of Road, township court and some residential areas in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region on 19 April.
Similarly, firemen from a local fire station joined hands with axillary firefighters to spay disinfectant on houses and monasteries in Seikkhun Village. They also disseminated knowledge about preventive measures against COVID-19, demonstrated local people how to wear facemasks, and urged them to abide by the rules issued by the local government.—Moe Thauk (Shwebo)
