UNION Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Mayor U Than Tun Oo yesterday visited the event to sell iron, steel, cement and construction materials to the people affected by the earthquake being organized in Taboung Ground near the Uppatasanti Pagoda from 12 to 18 May.
The opening ceremony of the event was held yesterday and it was attended by Deputy Minister for Commerce U Min Min, Deputy Minister for Industry U Yin Maung Nyunt, Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Zeyar Lin and other relevant officials.
Union Minister U Tun Ohn, Deputy Ministers U Min Min and U Kyaw Shwe Tun and officials attended the talk under the topic “From Repair to Prepare”, and Secretary-General Daw Khine Khine Nwe of UMFCCI, Myanmar Iron and Steel Association Chair Dr Kaythi Lwin, Founder and Managing Director of Alpha Power Engineering Co Ltd U Thet San and Department Head (Rtd) of Mandalay City Development Committee Daw Khin May Htay coordinated the discussion.
A total of 61 companies will participate with 74 booths, and people can buy iron, steel, cement and construction materials at fair prices freely. — MNA/ KTZH
