THE working committee for the implementation of e-gov­ernment held its first coordi­nation meeting at the Ministry of Transport and Communica­tions yesterday afternoon.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, in his capacity as Chairman of the Working Committee, said concerted efforts must be made to suc­cessfully gain the achieve­ments in e-government devel­opment programmes set out in the Myanmar e-government Master Plan 2030. In doing so, it includes building ICT In­frastructure, e-procurement and government and private collaboration, training skilled personnel, setting standards, conducting research, releas­ing information and engaging in international cooperation. Moreover, it is essential to coordinate rapidly advancing public electronic services and accelerating e-government.

 

The working committee members, chairs of sub-com­mittees, and officials of re­gional and state governments coordinated the discussion and sought instructions from the General.
