Department, businessmen collaborate for fishery sector development and promoting export

Deputy Minister for Agricul­ture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi visited the TMT Port at the Bo Aung Kyaw Port in Botahtaung Township, Yan­gon Region on 2 March and inspected working processes of preparing to export the aquat­ic products and inspecting at X-Ray inspection.

 

At the meeting with the president of the Myanmar Fish­eries Federation, officials from Myanmar Fishery Products Processors & Exporters As­sociation, its affiliated organi­zations, he urged all to collabo­rate between the departments and businesses to restore the reduction of fish resources in natural water areas, to provide enough stock of nutritious and qualified fishes and to increase exporting the fish, prawns and marine products.

 

The Deputy Minister ob­served the 500-tonne capacity high-tech cold storage of High Win International Co Ltd and fish processing at Tun Thaw­dar Manufacturing Co Ltd in Shwepyitha Industrial Zone.

 

He also urged all to empha­size the quality and safety of the foods and products, to ex­port the best quality products to the international market and to have the qualified staff.

 

Last, the Deputy Minister visited the showroom of Ma­larmyaing Public Holding Ltd located in Myepadetha Island, Bahan Township. — MNA/ TMT
