Rikhawdar 16 July
Transportation of goods from Myanmar’s northern Chin city of Rikhawdar to India through Myanmar-India Friendship Bridge was halted indefinitely by India side of Mizoram state.
The ban on commodity flow was imposed by the Customs headquarters based in Mizoram state, India, starting from July 15. The cause of the move is not known yet. Despite the ban on commodity flow, people and small vehicles are allowed access to the bridge.—Rikhawday (IPRD)
