Chauk, 18 September
An invitational football competition dubbed as “Chauk Oldfield Thakhin Po Hla Gyi” was opened at the township sports ground in Chauk, Magway Region on 17 September.
The football contest was opened by Regional Lawmaker for Constituency No.1 Daw San San Win, Township Administrator U Kyaw Swe Win, the head of township police force Thein Htay Win, officials from the Sports and Physical Education Department and the township development committee, and chairman of the event organizing committee U Khin Oo.
In the opening match, the team named Pakkoku beat Union FC 3-0. The contest runs from 17 September to 11 October with the participation of 24 teams. The incumbent champion of the competition is SPED (Yangon).
