An event to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Nattalin Township, Bago Region on 23 May.
During the ceremony, officials from the Township Department of Disaster Management and the Township General Administration Department jointly provided Ks. 1.51 Million to 132 victims of strong winds from 34 households in the Township for purchasing construction materials and rice.
Under this relief items supply program, 32 families whose homes were flipped over by strong winds and two families whose homes were destroyed by powerful winds in the Township received Ks.1.51 million and two kit boxes with 34 items.
The powerful winds hit Nattalin Township on 20 May and flipped over the roofs of 32 houses and collapsed two houses.—Wai Yan Phyo(IPRD)
