89 returnees go home after 21-day quarantine in border town

Quarantine centers have been set up in Chinshwehaw Town to keep people returning from China in order to contain the spread of coronavirus. 89 people were allowed to come back home after being placed in 21-day quarantine on 11 May.

Chairman of the township COVID-19 control and prevention committee Town Administrator U Thet Oo Paing and secretary of the committee Dr. Thiha presented the returnees with certificates that recognizes they have been kept under 21-day quarantine in Chinshwehaw Town before their departure for homes. The returnees will also be put under one-week home quarantine when they arrive in their native towns and villages.

89 returnees include two people from Mandalay Region, 8 from Sagaing Region, 14 from Bago Region, seven from Ayeyawady Region, 54 from Magway Region, three from Shan State and one from Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.—Zin Zin (IPRD)
