In an effort to promote environmental greening and provide free saplings to the public, a total of 70,000 saplings have been planted in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region, according to the Township Forest Department.
The planted saplings include a diverse range of species: 9,000 teak, 500 Kantkaw, 25,000 mankyansha, 17,000 mahogany, 2,000 padauk, 500 khayay, 1,000 seinpanlay, 3,000 seinpanni, 1,000 tamalang, 1,000 pyinkadoe, 1,000 mezali, and 9,000 yamanay.
These saplings will be distributed to local residents and various departments during the tree planting activities scheduled to begin in early June, the department added.—Township IPRD
