47 returnees back home after 21-day quarantine in Shinshwehaw

Quarantine centers have been set up in Chinshwehaw Town to keep people returning from China in order to contain the spread of coronavirus. 47 people were allowed to come back home after being placed in 21-day quarantine on 29 April.

Chairman of the township COVID-19 control and prevention committee Town Administrator U Thet Oo Paing and secretary of the committee Dr. Thiha presented the returnees with certificates that recognizes they have been kept under 21-day quarantine in Chinshwehaw Town before their departure for homes. The returnees will also be put under one-week quarantine when they arrive in their native towns and villages.

47 returnees include 21 people from Mandalay Region, 12 from Sagaing Region, three from Bago Region, nine from Magway Region and one each from Rakhine and Kachin State.—Zin Zin (IPRD)
