21 dead after boat capsizes in Pakistan

July 20

A search operation continues in southeastern Pakistan after a boat capsized on Monday.

21 people, mostly women and children, died while another 20 are still missing.

Police have sent divers to the accident site on the Indus River.

The boat was carrying around 100 people when it flipped over.

The passengers were on their way to a family wedding party across the river.

Police say they suspect the boat capsized as it was carrying far more passengers than capacity.
