Twantay, February 21
As the dry season is approaching, Fire Services Department gave local residents advise on fire prevention in the town of Twantay, Yangon region yesterday evening.
Fire fighters from the Township Fire Services Department went round eight wards in the town as well as villages every Thursdays shouting through loudspeakers, urging local residents to keep fire extinguishers, fire hooks, and buckets of water ready for use in case of fire.
The firefighters also urged local residents to make sure embers didn’t remain in their kitchens before they got into bed.—Myo Hlaing (Twantay)
