Two European fighters join Myanma Lethwei

World Lethwei Championship (WLC) has recently announced that two European starfighters Diogo Calado and Nauzet Trujillo recently signed with the WLC, proving that they want to showcase their fighting skills in the glory of Lethwei worldwide, according to the WLC. 


Upon their arrival, U Zay Thiha, chairman of the Lethwei said, “World Lethwei Championship has the toughest rosters of World Champions in the world and we are excited to welcome Calado and Trujillo into our stable. As the home of the world’s purest martial art, we are attracting elite world champions who want to challenge themselves in Lethwei and I am beyond excited to see how they fare!” 


Arriving at the WLC, Portugal fighter Diogo Calado expressed his feeling: “This is an exciting next step in my martial art journey, and getting to test myself against the world’s best pure strikers is extremely appealing to me. Lethwei is becoming the future of sports and I want to become its representative on the global stage.” 


Diogo Calado has won the WBC European, ISKA European and Strikers League belts.


Spanish fighter Nauzet Trujillo also said, “I am proud to be the first Spanish athlete signed to World Lethwei Championship! The organization has experienced rapid growth and I think Lethwei is a fantastic platform for me to showcase my abilities.”


Nauzet Trujillo has won belts for WMC Spanish, ISKA European, IPCC Intercontinental, and the ISKA World Championship.
