Slight earthquake jolts Gwa Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake which was recorded at 00:22 a.m. today, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology announced. 

 

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter Scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about three miles north of Gwa Township, Rakhine State, at a latitude 17.64°N, and longitude 94.58°E, with depth 15 kilometers and about two miles north of the Gwa seismological observatory, the DMH said.—DMH
