Representatives from the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO), Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and Arakan Army (AA) arrived in Muse, Northern Shan State this morning to hold talks with their counterparts from the National Reconciliation and Peace Center (NRPC).
The government delegates and ethnic armed organization’s representatives were warmly welcomed by the departmental staff and ethnic cultural troupe members. The dialogue between reps from the National Reconciliation and Peace Center (NRPC) and KIO, TNLA, MNDAA and AA commenced at the meeting room of the Muse-Namhkan Merchant Association at 9 a.m. today, focusing on peace process.
The event was attended by U Thein Zaw, U Khin Zaw Oo, U Zaw Htay and U Hla Maung Shwe from the NRPC and 17 delegates from KIO, TNLA, MNDAA and AA.—IPRD
