Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat received the Vice President of the Czech Republic’s Senate, Mr Jan Hornik, at the Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They discussed increasing cooperation and communication between the parliaments of both nations, environmental conservation, protection of children and the elderly, and the duties of Hluttaw representatives within and outside the Hluttaw.
Also present at the meeting were the chairpersons of Pyithu Hluttaw committees U Zaw Thein, U Soe Thura Tun, U Kyi Moe Naing and Dr Aung Tun Khaing, officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw office, and Czech Ambassador Mrs Hana Mottlova.—MNA
