MFF 3rd Congress held to focus on football developments

The 3rd MFF Congress 2021 Ceremony of Myanmar Football Federation was held yesterday by Videoconferencing to review and focus on Myanmar football issues plus development.

President of Myanmar Football Federation U Zaw Zaw, Vice-Presidents Dr Sai Sam Tun and U Pyae Phyo Tay Za, General Secretary U Ko Ko Thein, Executive Members, Myanmar National League club authorities, and officials from 242 township football federations attended the meeting.

The ceremony was launched by a welcome address of FIFA President Infantino. The FIFA President gave his best of wishes to all Myanmar football friends and said that he would like to come to Myanmar and celebrate the Myanmar Football Federation Congress together with Myanmar Football Federation officials, but the global pandemic situation did not allow him to come to Myanmar.

The year 2020 has been a difficult year, but he saw the unity of all his football friends.

He continued that Myanmar is committed to playing football to protect human beings along with the efforts of the football world, including quarantine centres, hospitals, infection control centres, donations and medical supplies.

Next, the programme of the third Myanmar Football Association Conference was announced, and a minute of silence was launched in mourning for the victims of Myanmar football in 2020.

Afterwards, President of Myanmar Football Federation U Zaw Zaw gave a welcome address.

“I would like to thank the President of the FIFA Football Federation Infantino for his welcome address at the Myanmar Football Federation Congress,” U Zaw Zaw said.

U Zaw Zaw also focused on youth football development and humanitarian works related to football.

After the speeches, officials introduced new members of the Board of Supervisors and Township Football Representatives to the MFF.

After that, President of Myanmar Football Federation U Zaw Zaw made concluding remarks to close the ceremony.
