Lesswalk donates 450 bicycles to schools in Kawa Township

Arrangements are being made to donate 450 bicycles to students from nine villages in Kawa Township, Bago Region in hopes of making educational more accessible to them.
    

Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University’s graduate U Than Tun Win from Lesswalk.org explained the purpose of donation, saying the intention is to help poor students become outstanding and educated people and wish them all the best in their pursuit of dreams. His organization has delivered around 20,000 bicycles to schools across Myanmar in 2019 and is now planning to donate nearly 15,000 bicycles to needy students nationwide this year, he added.


U Than Tun Win said he would contribute 1,000 bicycles to students in Bago Region. This was the first batch of bicycles out of 1,000 to students who walked two km to school each day would have a better mode of transportation in Bago Region. Lesswalk.org donated 50 bicycles each to nine schools from nine villages in Kawa Township through respective headmasters and headmistress.
