Homes damaged, fishing boats washed away by tropical storm in Kyunsu Twsp

Some homes and fishing boats in Kyunsu Township, Taninthayi Region were destroyed by the strong winds and rising tides after the tropical storm “NOUL” swept through the area on 20 September.
    

More than 160 homes from nine villages in the township were partially damaged and about 50 homes were totally collapsed by the gusty winds. In addition, at least fishing boats were swept away by the rising tides, according to a source from the General Administration Department.
    

No casualties were reported in the incident and the debris was removed by the village officials, and auxiliary firemen. The disaster victims were evacuated to a monastery in the village.
