A Fire broke out at about 11 pm on 26 July at the house of U Jonh A Ni in Kwethit Ward in Monghpyak Township, Shan State (East).
The fire was thought to have started from a lighted candle in the house.
Firemen from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in cooperation with local policemen and locals, and the blaze was brought under control at about 11: 3 pm and successfully extinguished at about 11:13 pm.
Fire totally destroyed the house of Jonh A Ni, causing a loss of K 1.5 million. But no casualties were reported. Authorities filed a case against Jonh A Ni for his negligence.
